Going Grocery Shopping as a College Student

As a freshman on campus, cars aren’t allowed, so the only way to get to the grocery store is by the shuttle bus provided by the college.

Target is the stop on the shuttle bus for students to get off and purchase their groceries for their dorms.

A college student must watch out for the cheapest option, even if it the store brand. Target brand water bottles are 80 cents cheaper than the Poland Springs brand. It is important to include healthy snacks in a student’s diet, such as apples.

If a student is buying food for all of their roommates to share, it is a good idea to split the cost in the check out line.

Students even get their exercise for the day by carrying their groceries across campus; the shuttle bus doesn’t stop at every dorm.

It is important to get the groceries that are refrigerated in the refrigerator right away, because the shuttle ride might be almost an hour long.

The rest of the food is added to the "food bin" under the bed. Now the students have a variety of snacks in their dorm room.
